Abstract

This study investigates transshipment technology schemes for river-sea intermodal transport of different cargo types in China, summarizes the characteristics and applicability of various transshipment technologies, and proposes a flexible technology scheme capable of responding to shocks from changes in cargo types and volumes as well as adapting to different vessel types. Furthermore, corresponding response strategies are proposed to mitigate disruptions arising from various external factors, including changes in transport volume, cargo types, and vessel types.
